Sometimes getting out to something Nordic is just better
Let's be honest. While everyone else is fighting for beach chairs in Mallorca, you could be floating in an Arctic spa watching the Northern Lights. Call us crazy, but we think there's something special about destinations where you need more than sunscreen and flip-flops.
We started noticing that some of the world's most incredible experiences happen when it's cold outside. Ice hotels that rebuilt themselves every winter. Floating saunas where you can jump between hot steam and freezing rivers. Tree houses suspended in forests where the silence is so complete, you can actually hear yourself think.
The Nordic region has this annoying habit of doing things differently. Instead of complaining about winter, they turned it into an art form. They took industrial power plants and made them into luxury hotels. They built spas that float on frozen rivers. They created accommodations so unique that your Instagram followers will think you're lying about where you actually stayed.
So here's what we do: We find these places before they become tourist traps. We visit them, test them (someone has to make sure the floating spa actually floats), and share the ones that made us forget about warm weather entirely.
The honest bit: No fancy marketing speak, no inflated prices - just cool places that happen to be in cold places, curated by people who genuinely believe that sometimes a weekend in Swedish Lapland beats a week in the Caribbean.
Because if you're going to travel somewhere, why not go somewhere that actually changes your perspective on what travel can be?
